07-08 Registration

Greetings,

Big Shots 4-H club will be holding its registration on September 22nd at 6:00 p.m. at Rodney and Tiffany Shedd's house at 12122 S. Toltec Buttes Rd., Eloy. We will provide a nacho bar with water, lemon-aide, and ice tea. Please bring your own outdoor chair. We will talk about 4-H and what it has to offer, do sign-ups and have a bonfire. Last year Big Shots was a shooting sports only 4-H club that participated in the county fair in rifle, archery, and pistol and took top honors in all events. Big Shots also competed in the State Shotgun Shooting contest held at Ben Avery. They shot trap, skeet and sporting clays and one of our Big Shots took first place in the state. 2007 State Shotgun Results

The Drive

The Athletes

Their Faces

The Crowd

Happy Mothers Day! Way to go Big Shots! Four members of the Big Shots 4-H Club went to Ben Avery to compete in the Arizona State 4-H Shotgun Contest. They all shot 25 trap, 25 skeet and 25 sporting clay targets. The sun was hot and so were the Big Shots.

In the Senior Division, Sterling Stambaugh took 4th place and Sawyer Stambaugh finished 6th. In the Sub-Junior Division Austin Bradford shot his way to third place only four shots off 1st place. Steven Shedd however had the hot gun of the day as he shot personal bests in all three disciplines including hitting 24 out of 25 in trap as he took 1st place in the Sub-Junior Division. Congratulations Steven!

Thanks again to Ag Management Services for sponsoring this event for our Big Shots and to Stambaugh Farms for providing lunch.

How they did it.

Way to go BIG SHOTS!
I'm proud of you all.

Pinal County Fair

Victorious!
Congratulations to all participants from the Big Shots 4-H Club!!! You all did great!

State Shoot

The State Shoot is May 13th at Ben Avery. All shooters should be there at about 8:00 A.M. From what I gather we need to check in at the main Game & Fish Building. This building is not at the Clay Target Center where we have shot in the past. It is a building at one of the other pistol or rifle ranges. From there we will be directed to the Clay Target Center. The Big Shots 4-H Club has a sponsor for the state 4-H shotgun event. AMS has stepped up with this donation. So Big Shots 4-H will supply the shooters with ammo and target fees. A BIG thank you to Jeffrey Altfillisch at Ag Management Services. His address is 1729 N. Trekell Rd. Casa Grande, Az. 85222 in case you would like to send him a thank you letter.

Remember to bring eye, ear and head protection it will be required by all participants and spectators on the sporting clays course.
