Competition

Congratulations to ALL that shot in the 2010 4-H Shooting Sports Competition. As you can tell the scores are getting really close especially in the senior division. I'm proud of all who shot. You did the BEST you could do that day. Everyone was polite and gracious, you were all a joy to be around. You smiled when it was time to smile and you had your serious face on when it was time to get serious. (I am getting worried about a few of your tongues) In the senior division you can no longer have a off day and expect to finish on top of the podium. You can't even have a good day and finish on top! In order to finish on top in the senior division you must have your best day! It just goes to show how hard the athletes are working on their fundamentals. In .22 rifle senior division 1st -3rd place was only separated by 4 points. In shotgun 2nd-6th place was also only separated by 4 shots. WOW!! I can see that we will need to come up with some sort of shoot-off in the future!! I hope all can attend the second portion of the the shooting sports contest held at the Pinal County Fairgrounds on March 19, 2010. We will shoot air rifle and air pistol. Hold steady and shoot SAFE!!!!!
